VARNISHING ACT

Notes & iPhone photos every time I paint my nails. That's it.

I really wanted a cobalt but this one ain’t it. See those bubbles? No way. I tried it with a base coat, without. Horrible, either way. Gave it to my sister.

Mineral Fusion in Glint of Mint. And a green juice.

Sally Hansen in A New Hue. And me threatening to burn the stuff in my coworkers’ office. Because I couldn’t move in until they moved their stuff out.

Color Club in Reign in Spain and Zoya in Dove. I did nail art, you guys! The second photo’s color is more accurate. And I do love a neon/neutral combo.

Essie in Tart Deco. A coworker gave me this because she bought it and then decided she “didn’t need any more nail polish.” And I didn’t have a peach creme like this. Win win!

Deborah Lippmann in Mermaid’s Dream. Much glitter in this one. It’s not quite opaque even with 2 coats, which you can see in the photo of my nails in the sun.

RGB in Coral. You’ve seen this color before, it’s probably my all-time fave.

Mineral Fusion in Bubble. A nude-ish purply putty. It’s good. So is that crazy vegan honey.

OPI in Madewell and Butter London in Knackered. Madewell is a purplish jelly that’s still translucent after 2 coats. But you can’t even tell with the glitter topcoat. Which, for the record, I do prefer over darker colors.

Loreal in Hidden Gems, Essie in As Gold As It Gets and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Green With Envy. I ran my first 10k today so I needed a matching mani. Duh. Hidden Gems is a sugar-coat style polish. The formula is good, goes on even in 2 coats and seemed to dry fairly quickly. I bought the Green With Envy just for this occasion and decided it needed some bling to go with the blue. Essie did the trick.

10k went great, btw.
